Two hours through the Director's Cut catalog, the collaborative project Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper built together from 2011, reworking house classics for modern dancefloors without losing a drop of soul.
The music speaks for itself. Jamie Principle on Your Love and I'll Take You There, Marshall Jefferson's Move Your Body getting the Retro Signature treatment, Ashford & Simpson's Bourgie Bourgie in a previously unreleased version, Candi Staton, Inaya Day, Sybil, Robin S. All passing through the Director's Cut filter.
Eric Kupper, over 116 Billboard #1 dance records to his name, was Frankie's closest production partner. This collection was his way of telling his side of the story after Frankie passed in 2014. Playing it back to back felt like the right tribute.
